Title: Defective from the Start — Second Unit Also Failed Completely
Review: I purchased this TV in April 2025, mainly for its built-in Fire TV functionality. Unfortunately, the experience has been disappointing from the very beginning. The first unit I received didn’t turn on at all — the screen stayed completely black. I contacted Panasonic support, and although they responded within about 24 hours, their suggestions were limited to very basic troubleshooting (like holding the power button or unplugging the device). In the end, they simply advised me to contact the retailer for an exchange. After replacing it, the second unit at least powered on, but the Fire TV system was extremely slow from the start. The initial update took more than 30 minutes, and a message appeared saying my internet was unusually slow — despite having high-speed Fios service and no issues with other devices. Streaming apps like YouTube and Netflix frequently buffer, freeze, or fail to load, even at low resolutions.Restarting or unplugging the TV temporarily helps, but the problem returns after a few hours. It seems to be a persistent performance issue, possibly due to insufficient memory or a system-level bug in the Fire TV OS.While the panel itself looks good, I cannot recommend this TV for anyone planning to rely on the built-in Fire TV. You may need to add an external streaming device (like a Fire Stick), which defeats the purpose of buying a Fire TV-equipped model in the first place.I hope this review helps others make an informed decision.[Update as of November 1, 2025]After a few months of use, this TV has become completely non-functional.First, the TV started turning itself on randomly, even after being powered off.It would automatically scroll through the channel guide without any user input. Then, the power button on the remote stopped working entirely, although pressing shortcut buttons like “Netflix” or “Prime Video” would still power the TV on.However, any attempt to navigate (e.g., using the Home button or switching apps) now causes the TV to crash and shut off immediately.I performed a full factory reset, unplugged the TV for hours, and even re-paired the remote — nothing worked. This is especially frustrating because this is already my second unit. The first one was completely defective out of the box (black screen), and this replacement has now also failed.Panasonic’s support website doesn’t even recognize the model number when submitting a warranty request. While I have contacted them and provided proof of purchase, the lack of product registration options and their earlier dismissive response raise serious concerns. At this point, I cannot recommend this TV under any circumstances, especially for anyone planning to rely on the built-in Fire TV. The reliability and software support are simply unacceptable.

Title: Amazon/Prime delivered this TV overnight!
Review: This TV replaces a failed same-size Smart Fire TV from another manufacturerThis TV has far superior picture and sound quality, together with other now-standard features. This TV is provided with a dedicated WiFi remote control and numerous input ports, but requires a separate Cable TV Network Remote Control.

Title: Kinda slow for a smart TV. Limited because it’s locked into Amazon Fire software
Review: This TV is good, but somewhat limited. It’s an Amazon fire TV- so it’s not a Roku- or a Sony… It’s basically a TV amazon put together on a project with Panasonic. I’ve owned multiple Panasonic over the years. So I had good faith. It is pretty slow, the processor making the TV smart is not awesome. If you are looking for razor thin, nope. Somewhat bulky in the back. Bland. Ordinary… blah… The TV kinda sucks in the world of TVs right now. But it’s what I could afford to hook my Nintendo up to- the write-up said the graphics are good And They Are.. Solid image. Just kinda slow jumping from program to program. And if you are changing apps all together- Forget about it. Slow TV that gets the job done. Value for money? After you buy this, a Pawn shop may offer $20 max…. So that’s the street value of this boob tube.

Title: Impressive Smart TV At A Great Price Point
Review: I purchased two Panasonic smart tv models: 43” & 50.”This is a first for this brand as far as a smart tv is concerned. I have been pleasantly surprised with the picture and sound quality, the ease of switching to my wireless cable connection and back to Fire TV with Alexa. Screen mirroring and an internet app on screen. The number of apps are impressive and the overall sturdiness of the chassis (including metal stands) are just some of the standouts concerning the quality of this smart tv at a great price point…and setup was very straightforward and function has been perfect so far. Very happy with the purchase.

Title: Its a name brand TV that is easy to set up and isn’t overpriced.
Review: This Panasonic TV seems to work very well and has a great picture. The setup as an Amazon Fire TV account holder, was literally plugging it into a power outlet, turning on the power and scanning a couple of QR Codes with my smart phone. It even uploads your previous viewing preferences, if you choose. It took a total of less than 10 minutes, from the time I hit the power button. The QR Codes will basically do everything besides key in your Amazon Fire password.Lots of new smart TVs are supposed to do exactly what this Panasonic does, but they don’t all have the same trouble free experience. And, it’s actually still working great, after the first two weeks, unlike another “no-name” brand I bought 1 month prior and sent back. Let’s just say that I should have listened to my common-“Sense” and not went with a TV, because of a $60 discount.Anyway, I would buy this TV again. You should too. You will get your money’s worth.

Title: Just Advertising for sales
Review: This tv is just ok it’s just a basic television the picture is decent but if I need another tv it won’t be this one or even a fire tv. Update on this tv the truth behind this tv is the tv was designed in an for the best interests of amazon and their sales this tv is filled with advertisements and apps that are free for a period of time and then you must pay a monthly free on them to continue service so if you’re okay with advertisements and purchasing additional apps then go for it but I personally don’t or wouldn’t recommend this tv to anyone.
